The air across the nation is filled with the chants of 'Ganpati Bappa Morya' as millions of devotees celebrate the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. The 10-day festival, which marks the birth of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, began with the ceremonial installation of beautifully crafted idols in homes and vibrant public pandals.
Families and communities have come together with immense enthusiasm to perform daily rituals, prayers, and aartis. The celebrations are a vibrant display of culture, featuring traditional music, dance, and a variety of sweet offerings, most notably the much-loved modaks, believed to be Lord Ganesha's favorite delicacy.
The festivities will culminate with the Ganesh Visarjan, the immersion of the idols in a water body, symbolizing the deity's return to his heavenly abode. This grand procession is expected to be a final burst of devotion, with devotees bidding a heartfelt farewell and wishing for Lord Ganesha's return the following year.
